ProCivitas Privata Gymnasium Växjö – Växjö, Sweden
ProCivitas Växjö is an applicant organization and coordinating school. ProCivitas Växjö is publicly funded private school that has 340 students divided in three national programmes: the Natural Science Programme, the Social Science Programme and Business Management and Economics Programme which are all higher education preparatory programmes. The personnel at school totals to 35 persons whereof 20 are teachers. They are proud to say that they have highly ambitious pupils who have a strong will of developing. Pricivitas Växjö works with entrepreneurship in different ways. They offer their students an opportunity to try and conduct their own companies. They also have a school programme called “Mentoring Programme” in which they try to attach contacts with local business sector, municipalities, organisations, country councils and universities, as well as conduct different activities that support entrepreneurship. The school’s staff noticed that their students get by very well after they have finished school for which, they think, the reason lies in taking part in Mentoring Programme – which was also a reason for them to share their experience with other schools from Europe.
Profesionalna Tehnicheska Gimnaziya “N.Y.Vaptsarov” – Vratsa, Bulgaria
Vocational tehnical school “N.Y. Vaptsarov” has around 350 students ahed from 14 up to 18 years. School staff consists of 34 highly qualified specialists. School has great material and tehnical foundation – there is a corpus for education with large classrooms, labs and gyms for general education and professional training and a manufacturing corpus with well-equipped workshop and services. At the end of their five years long education, their students receive a diploma for Secondary Education and a Certificate for 3rd Professional Qualification. “N.Y. Vaptsarov” school offers their students an useful opportunity to visit local businesses, business enterprises and laboratories where they not only watch, but also participate in activities. School has participated in many international educational projects, such as “Comenius”, “Leonardo da Vinci” and “Erasmus+” – even in the roll of project applicant and coordinator. For the last seven years, their students had the chance to take part in practical trainings in a German Training Center and companies in Malaga (Spain). Their most important drives for taking part in all these activities was to motivate their students, help them build practical skills, useful networks and positivity regarding their profession and future, but also to give them a chance to learn about other countries and cultures from their own live experiences.
Privatna gimnazija i ekonomsko-informatička škola Futura s pravom javnosti – Zagreb, Croatia
Privatna gimnazija i ekonomsko-informatička škola Futura is private secondary vocational school that educates economists and IT techinitians, but also offers general education in the form of gymnasium. Private school Futura currently has around 120 students aged from 15 to 19 years old and 20 teachers who are mostly full-time employees of the school. Economy and IT departments have 2 types of subjects: general and vocational education. Aim of general education subjects is to prepare students for matura, which is obligatory state exam for all students who whish to go to college. Aim of vocational subjects is to give students theoretical and practical knowledge and experience regarding their vocation. Since curricula for their programs doesn’t include much of a practical work, private school Futura tends to give project-oriented classes where students do practical projects that bridge the gap between education and real life, work situations. After finishing high school, many Futura’s students continue their studies in field of economy and IT, while others get jobs in, mainly, their family businesses. School is very well equipped and promotes innovative teaching methods in combination with integration of ICT in everyday school classes and tasks. Private school Futura has great experience in field of coordinating, managing and conducting Erasmus+ programs.
Istituto Istruzione Superiore Chini-Michelangelo – Lido di Camaiore, Italy
Liceo Chini-Michelangelo is a secondary school with over 1200 students aged 14-19 and about 140 teachers places in two different buildings in Lido di Camaiore and Forte dei Marmi. The school covers a complete and widespread range of disciplines and is designed to give students the skills to progress at any university or highet education institution. Liceo Chini-Michelangelo offers 4 different upper secondary school specializations: Liceo Linguistico specializing in modern foreign languages; Liceo delle Scienze Umane specialized in humane sciences and linking knowledge from fields of pedagogy, psychology, sociology, social studies and education; Liceo delle Scienze Umane – opzione Socio-Economico that combines human studies with Economics, Leagl studies, Mathematics and Statistics; Liceo Scientifico e Liceo delle Scienze Aplicante dedicated to studying mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, earth science and computer science. Most of the school’s students go to university after diploma, but some would rather find a job. Both groups of students have trouble finding a long term job in the Versilian area because local businesses are mainly devoted to tourism which mostly offers seasonal job opportunities. Having this in mind, Liceo Chini-Michelangelo’s expresses strong need to empower their students with new skills and an entrepreneurial thinking which will give them the chance not only to find an employment, but also to create new job opportunities in a constantly changing society.
